CUMC offers traditional worship opportunities at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the church's beautiful sancutary.
These services feature inspiring music and dynamic preaching in an uplifting traditional context. Diverse music includes the great hymns of the church led by one of our outstanding choirs accompanied by our majestic Karl Wilhelm tracker pipe organ.
CUMC recognizes that meaningful worship can occur in a number of different settings and styles. Sunday Morning Light, at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. are nontraditional worship experiences held in our gym.
These services offer a wide range of contemporary worship music led by a dynamic and versatile band. The messages are biblically based, culturally relevant and illustrated with powerful visual images. The atmosphere is decidedly casual and definitely friendly.
Labyrinths have been around for over 4,000 years and have been an integral part of many cultures. During the Crusades, they were used to symbolically represent the pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Today, labyrinths are being used for reflection, meditation, prayer and comfort. A labyrinth has only one path that leads you on a circuitous path to the center and out again. Each person's walk is a personal experience.
With the recent acquisition of our own labyrinth, Concord UMC will be making the labyrinth available in the Narthex during special events.
